Premium Warranty for QUADRA Modules

3D West, Inc. ("3D West") provides a product warranty for its frameless photovoltaic modules (jointly referred to as "modules," or individually as "module").

A. Warranty

The 3D West warranty is subject to the conditions of this warranty certificate. We guarantee that 3D West modules shall be free from material and manufacturing faults for a period of 30 years from the purchase date.

The product warranty period begins on the day the module is sold to the end customer by 3D West or the installer, with the invoice and datasheet serving as proof. The purchaser bears the burden of proof to provide the invoice and purchase details.

B. Warranty Conditions

3D West provides this warranty exclusively to customers who have acquired modules for their own use — not for resale or other commercial exploitation ("Customer").

3D West guarantees that the modules are free from material and manufacturing defects affecting functionality ("Product Defects") for thirty (30) days from the invoice date to the end customer ("Warranty Term").

Key conditions:

  • The owner of the module at the time a warranty claim originates is entitled to make the claim.
  • This warranty applies only to the first installation of the modules. The defective module must still be part of the solar energy system in which it was originally integrated.
  • Warranty claims must be filed within the applicable warranty period.
  • The warranty applies only with normal and proper warehousing, transportation, installation, and maintenance, under usual operating conditions and dry/proper conditions. Installation instructions current at the time of installation must be observed.
  • Warranties are valid in the United States.
  • Repairs, modifications, or other changes to the module may only be made by 3D West-qualified and approved professionals.
  • Warranties apply only under normal temperate climate conditions. They do not apply to damage from electrical surges, lightning, flooding, vermin, fire, impact, undue shock/vibration, extreme conditions, or other external influences.
  • Warranties do not cover damage caused by third parties or events outside normal use and beyond 3D West's control.
  • Warranties do not apply if modules are used near shore, offshore, or in mobile systems.
  • Mere optical inhomogeneities that don't affect technical function do not constitute a defect.
  • Warranties are void if the module label or serial number has been changed, erased, made illegible, or otherwise altered.
C. Indemnification

If a binding warranty claim is established, 3D West may resolve it by:

  • Replacement of products. If the original module is no longer in serial production, 3D West reserves the right to supply a module of the same or higher power rating.
Exclusions

The warranty does not apply to modules subjected to:

  • Misuse, abuse, neglect, or accident
  • Alteration, disassembly, reinstallation, or improper installation/application
  • Non-observance of 3D West's installation and maintenance instructions
  • Repair or modification by unauthorized persons
  • Failures caused by surrounding equipment
  • Use under unusual conditions/environments deviating from product specifications
  • Installation on mobile platforms or exposure to marine environments
  • Glass breakage due to external causes
  • Use for purposes unrelated to solar power generation
  • Connection with another manufacturer's PV modules, or 3D West modules of a different model/power output
  • Defects from improper transportation or storage
  • Naturally occurring cosmetic changes that don't affect performance, including:

    Non-significant discoloration of cells or laminate
    Non-significant loss of glass transparency
    Non-significant increase in surface roughness
    Non-significant frame discoloration/damage from environmental stress
    Non-significant junction box damage/corrosion from environmental stress
    Non-significant connector/cable damage/corrosion from environmental stress
    Non-significant frame fixation damage from environmental stress

  • Power surges, flood, fire, accidental breakage, force majeure, or other unforeseeable circumstances outside 3D West's control
D. Limitation of Liability

Claims for damages or expenses against 3D West — regardless of legal basis (contract, tort, or otherwise) — arising from or connected to this warranty are excluded.

3D West is not liable for: loss of profit or revenue, loss of use or power harvest, loss of data, cost of capital, down-time costs, cost of substitute goods or transport, property damage external to the modules, or any special, incidental, indirect, or consequential damages — even if such damage occurs on a third party's premises.

E. Assertion of Warranty Claims

To submit a warranty claim, provide:

  • The original invoice (showing purchase date and price)
  • Datasheet product codes and serial numbers
  • For power warranty claims: a dated, credible test report proving the minimum rated output was not reached

Claims must be filed within 3 months (90 days) of when knowledge of the claim existed. Claims received after this window may be considered at 3D West's sole discretion.

This warranty certificate is governed exclusively by United States substantive law.

F. Scope of the 3D Warranty

This certificate applies only to the following module types (Quality Class A):

G. Final Provision

If any individual provision of these warranty conditions is or becomes invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions is unaffected.

These warranties are independent, voluntary, and gratuitous services provided by 3D West and do not affect any representations or warranties existing between the actual vendor and the customer.

A warranty claim can never exceed the invoiced price of the modules. All warranty questions and claims should be directed to the vendor or reseller of the modules. Additional documentation (photos, records, etc.) must be provided at 3D West's request.

This certificate is valid only for the described 3D West modules purchased between September 1, 2026 and the date a new warranty certificate is registered with 3D West.
